Key Corporate Agreements
Hoffman La Roche and Plethora have a co-development agreement for PSD506, a selective muscarinic receptor antagonist for overactive bladder in women and in men with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). PSD506 represents the first of a new generation in this drug class, and is effective at both M2 and M3 receptors which are important in mediating over-excitability in the human bladder.
Metris Therapeutics (UK): Plethora has in-licensed two novel formulations of marketed compounds, using Metris unique and proprietary intra-vaginal drug delivery for the treatment of dysmenorrhoea (PSD508) and uterine pain (PSD509).
Shionogi Pharma Inc: Shionogi Pharma Inc (formerly Sciele Pharma Inc) acquired global rights to PSD502 in May 2009. Plethora has a royalty interest in future product sales outside of the USA and Japan.
Senetek plc: In 2005 Plethora acquired North American marketing and development rights to Invicorp®; a non-oral treatment for erectile dysfunction.
Bristol Urological Institute (UK) is funded by Plethora to provide clinical data in support of the QinetiQ programmes. The Institute is located in Southmead Hospital, Bristol and performs its research in collaboration with the University of Bristol and the University of the West of England, as well as with other academic centres throughout the UK.
