Accessibility
We want to make sure that our website is accessible to everyone.
We have designed the website to make it as easy to use as possible including:
Using meaningful Alt text on all images to provide useful and descriptive text for users
Using descriptive hyperlink text to make sense of the context of the link
Using an easy to read and use colour scheme
We also work hard to make sure that our website has useful content that is laid out in an easy-to-navigate way taking into account people who use different forms of access including speech readers.
If you prefer the font size to be larger or smaller you can control this using your browser settings. For example, if you are using Internet Explorer on a PC go to the ‘View’ menu, select ‘Text Size’ then select your preferred settings. If you are using Firefox go to the ‘View’ menu select ‘Text Size’ and then either increase or decrease.
You may wish to change the size of images on your screen. Go to ‘Start’, ‘Control Panel’, ‘Appearance and Themes’ and finally select the ‘Change the Screen Resolution’ or ‘Display’ tab. Windows also has a number of settings you can use to improve your enjoyment of the web. Go to ‘Start’, ‘Control Panel’ then select ‘Accessibility Options’ and select the relevant option to suit your requirements.
This website conforms to W3C’s ‘Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0’ available at available at http://www.w3.org/TR/1999/WAI-WEBCONTENT-19990505, level A. If you have any problems with accessibility please don’t hesitate to contact us.
